Lucia May is a poet in St. Paul, MN. Her chapbook entitled Blond Boy was published by Evening Street Press in Spring 2014. Her poems have appeared in Verse Wisconsin, which has nominated her for a Pushcart Prize. Other journals include Moon Magazine, Main Channel Voices, the Evening Street Review, Hot Metal Press, Paper Darts, The Prose-Poem Project, Pemmican, The Talking Stick, Tall Grass, Burnt Bridge, The Widow’s Handbook: Poetic Reflections on Grief and Survival, The Awakenings Review, The Mom Egg, Kurier Polski, and the Little Red Tree International Poetry Prize 2010 Anthology. Her work has also been accepted by Finishing Line Press, which offered her their Starting Gate Award in 2013.

She has studied with the poets Linda Back McKay, Thomas R. Smith, Deborah Keenan, and Jude Nutter.
